Welcome!G Gioia (Gigi) Dasovich,

Living Well, with Love and Intention

Important To Remember:

  1. Breathe Deeply, inhaling through your nose.
  2. Focus on what you want, not what you don’t want.
  3. Set an intention in the morning and when you go to sleep.
  4. Drink lots of clean water and eat fresh organic food, avoid chemical toxins.
  5. Correct your posture and rotate your neck and shoulders.
  6. Witness your life.
  7. Acknowledge others–you show your class and warmth by how you greet them.
  8. Relax with Acceptance, as Resistance is Stress.
  9. Meditate
  10. Be authentic and mean what you say.
  11. Do what you say you are and Never allow lies to represent you.
  12. Practice compassion and openness.
  13. Share laughter and joy.
  14. Never gossip.
  15. Let Love be your guide.
  16. Understand that the entire Universe conspired to put specifically you, here, out of a field of infinite potential.
  17. Delight in the bounty of it all.

About Me, G. Gioia,

For as far back as I can remember, the one and only thing that has always been the most interesting to me to think about and explore is where, who,

what, why, when, and how am I?

I read that my physical life experience is a space-time event. I remember when I was very young, I wondered where was I in relation to the stars I saw in night sky and where was all that I could see in relation to the Universe. I wondered, what was beyond the Universe? It dawned on me then that Time does not exist except for as a tool for comparative measurement. The tool of Time helped separate moments for comparison even though all there really is, is the present moment. So, I wondered and reasoned that somehow the physical world also separated me. But from what? Was I on the outside of a system looking out towards other systems or was I on the inside of a system looking out toward more of the inside of myself? It’s looking now, at 47 years that it is both. My creativity has taught me almost everything I know about Being. Now, everything I do teaches me how to do it better.

As part and parcel of my life-long search for what, who, why and how I Am, I have a

B.A., English Literature & B.S. (premed, psychology) from McGill University, Montreal, Canada,

an M.A. in Anglo-Irish Studies (thesis on S.Beckett and W.Blake)

and I have an announcement:

Presently, I am pursuing a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling with the hope of reaching more people and to widen the techniques available to me. Currently, the methods I use to maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle, free from the monkey of addiction are rooted in Love and ancient wisdom, such as the Vedanta philosophy, to manage the limitations of self identity, and stems from the Vedas. Your own thinking, if you are engaged in addictive behavior, is self sabotaging, and it happens within levels of cognition that you don’t even know are there. With the methods I have developed, I can unravel the meta-processes of your core beliefs and values so that you can clearly see how your decisions are made. Past decisions are the realities of your life today. If you are unaware of what is fueling them, then no matter what you do, the outcome will never change. Although it is basically wisdom, common sense and accountability that I practice it is the only path that will ultimately bring you to the helm of your new joy filled life.

So, in order to be available to more people and for those who prefer a therapist with mainstream professional degrees and “proper” credentials, I am on my way. In the mean time, if I can be of service, please email me at : ggioia0@gmail.com.

With Peace and Light, G. Gioia

As for my art,

I now primarily take only commissioned requests. I have been selected to appear in several group shows in Europe and the USA and I also have had three individual shows (fine art paintings in oil) ‘87-’90.

Then came my two

wonderful children, Nicholas and AmeliaBelle.

Now I am the owner and director of an historical art renovation project at 64 Park Avenue, in Centerville, MA, and so far, have more than doubled its value to nearly $800,000.

My passion, whether it be of art or psychology, is the discovery of the self”s true nature and purpose through the process of creativity; or What becomes revealed on the “inside” as a result of expressing what is on the “outside”. I believe quite simply, this query is inherent to my nature, that it holds the ultimate truths, and that it is the path to the self you want to be. I do already have ten plus years of successful addiction recovery and self-awareness techniques and it is right here, that I hope to help others to also embrace their joyful inheritance and find true, purposeful, sustainable sobriety and good health. Addiction begins, almost always, by looking for the right thing in the wrong places. This is the right place. This is where I promise to help love to wake up in you.

Keep checking the sections “Addiction and Recovery”, “blog” and my essays, for my tips and understanding. Again, if you have any questions or comments, write to pathways@urthequest.com . I will return each and every question personally and within 24 hours. If you are in dire need, you should dial 911 for an emergency. Except for threats of harm to self or others, everything between us is confidential.

    Hi Gigi!
Love your site! It’s great to be helping others in recovery find their paths.

I have a new book coming out on Amazon on August 12th. It is called Loved Back to Life and it’s about my journey of recovery. I have been clean and sober for 20 years now.

It would be great if you could read the book and blog about it on your site…if you believe it to be beneficial to others in recovery.

I can forward a PDF of the manuscript if you are interested. You can find out more info at http://www.lovedbacktolife.com

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Smiles,
    Amy “AJ” Crowell amy@amycrowell.net

Hey sister girl! your website is beautiful and very informative. Keep it coming. However, I may not get a chance to be in your book club, as I don’t have time to read anything but the books we have for the courses. Hope all is well with you and the beautiful children as well as perry. Love Ya! and hope to chat with you soon. Paulette
