You are such a talented young women and I know you will do the world a great honor by becoming a agent for social change. See Ya!

Hey sister girl! your website is beautiful and very informative. Keep it coming. However, I may not get a chance to be in your book club, as I don't have time to read anything but the books we have for the courses. Hope all is well with you and the beautiful children as well as perry. Love Ya! and hope to chat with you soon. Paulette

Hi, GGioia...

We've just become friends and I have been reading your website; for some reason it has struck home with me. Some reason, right. (we need a sarcasm font here). You've described me in your writings and intrigued me enough to wonder 'does she have something I need?'

I have been searching for a way out of my addiction, which happens to be prescribed painkillers. I have quit morphine straight on and have never looked back but now, though I know what I MUST do, fear locks me up.

I don't know if I should even be bothering you with this, but the ways forward seem very limited to me. I would ask that you read "The VA Jungle" on my blog, listed above, which would give you an idea what I am facing.

I am trusting in spirit that I have done the right thing...

Warmly,
Larry

Hi Gigi!
Love your site! It's great to be helping others in recovery find their paths.

I have a new book coming out on Amazon on August 12th. It is called Loved Back to Life and it's about my journey of recovery. I have been clean and sober for 20 years now.

It would be great if you could read the book and blog about it on your site...if you believe it to be beneficial to others in recovery.

I can forward a PDF of the manuscript if you are interested. You can find out more info at www.lovedbacktolife.com

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Smiles,
Amy "AJ" Crowell amy@amycrowell.net

Thank you so much for your question!
I totally understand. Generally, try being impartial, as judgment is restrictive, like resistance. Let whatever you experience during your meditation happen and be "ok". Be there, unattached, witnessing the free-flow and the energy within the thoughts. Let it all be okay, while at the same time letting it all go. The key is not to resist anything, and try not to identify with your thoughts. If you do, let them go when you find yourself doing that. I don't think Ego is capable of meditating, so definitely do not attempt to meditate from there. Specifically, keep noting the thought and releasing the thought. Even if you only get a glimpse of where you want to be, with practice, those moments will increase. As far as the CD's go, why not try starting with one, get into the "zone" and then turn off the volume. It could be, you just need to give yourself more time to used to the different way.
Good luck and happy healing,
